Rialto, California
I want to step away from talking about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for a moment and write about a great historical place near my home in Rialto, California.
If you ever happen to travel through the City of Rialto, check out the Elva’s Airport Cafe and order one of their delicious hamburgers. My father used to take me to this restaurant when I was younger and I had an absolute blast every time I went.
Inside the restaurant you’ll find historic photos of past air shows and every seat gives you a great view of the runway. There’s something that words just can’t describe when your sitting down eating a juicy burger and every fifteen minutes a small single engine airplane takes off or lands on the runway. If you’re lucky and you ask nicely, go behind the restaurant and walk past the runway towards the hangers. Take a few moments to look around. What you’ll find is an amazing collection of vintage aircrafts that were designed for the motion picture industry. The last time I went, they had some aircrafts from the movie Mars Attacks on display.
Every few years the Art Scholl Aviation / Rialto Municipal Airport will host an air show featuring some of the greatest aerobatic performers in Southern California. In addition to being used to develop Hollywood mockups, they also train medical pilots and are home to the San Bernardino County sheriff’s Aero Squadron.
The Rialto Municipal Airport is located on Linden Avenue north of Baseline Road. To learn more about Art Scholl Aviation, you can give them a call at (909) 874-5800 or visit their website at www.artschollaviation.com
